parental rites of passage

Waking up in the morning with a small kernel of yellow poo attached to one's forehead.
The baby's first diaper rash almost physically hurts you and you find yourself blowing on a tiny bottom in unison with your spouse.
Falling asleep at the rocking chair, waking up hours later, still rocking.
Discovering that bouncy seat + bathroom fan= mom gets to take a shower.
The first time you use your hand and a little spit to clean a chubby face.

Thanks for the many pictures! I love being able to see how Claire is changing. What a beauty she is!!! Nothing will be better than the rites of passage you will experience in her life. I consider it a priviledge from God to be able to be a part of all the changes my pre-teen and teen are experiencing. Although I miss the babies they were, each year is truly a blessing.
