bringing teddyback.

Today I am thankful for Sarah, who came over and watched Claire while I took a nap. Today I am thankful for Kim, who shared with me the secret of clean lovies.

So many of us struggle along in silence. We're afraid to ask for help because we're supposed to be able to handle this. We don't ask the questions because we're just supposed to know what to do. I need to be better at admitting that I am clueless. That I wing it. My girl doesn't need a mother who has everything figured out.

The thing I didn't know this week was that a Teddy can survive a delicate cycle.
What's the mothering thing you want to ask? Post your question anonymously in the comments if you feel like it. Let's be clueless together.

I'm still stuck on the "how do I get my baby to sleep through the night" question. :)

to chd... if you get there before 10.5 months you'll be doing better than me! :) good luck! if you figure it out, let me know!

We're at the 4 month mark, so I have the feeling you'll figure it out before I do. :)

How exactly do you get chocolate stains out of clothing? I've tried soaking, rubbing, bleaching.

I now have Isabela eat her chocolate ice cream cones naked, outside and then just hose her down. Sounds mean, but really she loves it, especially when I bring out the hose.

Alida,
As you know, I am a fan of the naked method, but when it's not possible to strip her down pre-meal, I use my grandma's stain fighter...it seriously rocks.
Here it is:
equal parts-
blue Dawn dishwashing liquid
water
ammonia

We use it like you would spray and wash, it seriously is awesome.

As for sleeping through the night...I wish I had some magic for you there, friend. Will be praying that it happens soon :)

for fresh food stains, tide to go is a miracle worker. works on berries, but haven't yet tried chocolate.

Hey Kari -
Is grandma's stain-fighter color safe? Safe to spray on and leave until the laundry actually gets done (which could be quite some time later)? Grandmas come up with the best stuff.

And thank you for the wish of magic. Although it didn't come true last night. We'll try again tonight. :)

Courtney-
I put it on and let it stay for a while and have never had a problem.

Stuggle in silence? Afraid to ask for help? Not me! I wear my naivete and helplessness on my sleeve! ;)

I have no shame. I'm winging it like the rest of us. Learning by trail and error and error!
