in response.

For the record, this is the last time that I was fashionable. The year was 1987. Somehow between then and now, my skin lost the ability to tan. The rainbow pastel dress was my idea. Mom, I'm blaming you for the perm.

I loved the comments section from Claire's birthday letter. I loved it, because 18 months ago I had no mommy friends. Now, I make one comment about being out of style and the mamas come riding in to cheer me up. Don't we all feel like the frumpy one sometimes? Since having Claire, I feel like I have no idea how to dress myself. If anyone has tips on dressing the 30 year old post-baby body, I'm all ears. Just, please don't suggest rainbow pastels or perms.

That's a great picture. Gotta love the pastel days.

I'm still waiting to hear advice on how to dress post baby and that was 11 years ago for me :(

I guess I go for comfort and what makes me feel good rather than the latest styles. I try to dress nicely for myself. I also try to wear things more often when Jason compliments me on them. If he thinks I look good, then I could care less what anybody else thinks.

I'm not into dressing up at all. I've come to terms with that, and while I refuse to wear sweats in public (99% of the time) I don't wear dresses either. I dress the same at home as I do when I'm going somewhere. That makes me feel less frumpy. I'm ready to go anywhere at a moment's notice.

I don't know if any of this is helpful, but I'll be watching the comments for tips for myself!

Holy cow, you are brave. I like to think I would post a ...what is that...a 4th grade picture? Awesome, truly awesome.

And somewhere along the line, I too lost the admittedly small ability I had to tan. I like to say I'm purposefully pale because I know better now, but secretly, some summer color would sometimes be nice. Especially in the summer. :)

First of all, you are so darn cute. You always look cool. I love your clothes and LOVE your shoes. You are truly the bomb girl.

Love the dress! I think I had one quite similar...with the poofy mushroomy skirt thing. Too cool.

I still love dressing up, but I had the hardest time figuring out what to wear post-baby. My solution was to keep tabs on a couple of websites that had outfits put together, giving me some idea on what to wear.

Also, it doesn't hurt that I teach around college students who are very tuned into what's fashionable (and let me know when I'm wearing something that's "hip"). Most days, though, I'm wearing sweats around the house!

Wow...you are brave, but cute. I have to say I was one ugly child. Never in a million years would I post my school pics. I like to hide my post baby belly by layering, layering and layering.

You, my dear are just a beautiful today as you were in 1987....no prejudice or partiality here, just the facts, ma'am.....although, does that hairdo have a slightly mullett look to it?:)
Love you, anyway you are.

O.k., do you want to know how old I am? I have a perm picture similar to this one...the year 1984...my high school PROM. So sad.

After Luke was born, I got rid of all my work clothes and bought t-shirts and sweats. That was my uniform until Isabela turned 2. It's easier to dress nicer after the spit up stage.

As far as shoes...Sergio teases me that I was born in heels. I'm always shopping for comfortable shoes and I always bring home a new pair of heels. My mom is the same way and she's 78 years old!!

I think every mom needs a pair of fashionable sunglasses and a cute hair cut. Put on the glasses and no one knows that you have no make up on and dark circles under your eyes. Oh and don't forget to smile.

dressing tips, are ya kiddin' me? you're STILL my anna brown (except that i actually talk to you). it doesn't get any more cool than that. no matter how frumpy you may feel, you are beautiful.

okay so after working in retail for 6 years i have an idea or two on how to hide that post baby body! i'm not the best and doing it simply b/c i can't go out and buy a whole new wardrobe but if I could i'd know exactly what to buy! right now i'd buy lots of those cute apron style sweater tanks so cute when layered with a long sleeved tee! also there are plenty of super cute tunics out right now! lucky for those of us with post baby body the fashions out there are beneficial. most of what i see our there right now hides your mid section! cool! unfortunatly i'm short on shopping cash or else i'd be displaying these fun new styles at our mops group maybe when i get some extra cash flow you'll see me in something hip and fashionable but until then i'm all about hoodies!-hides everything from love handles to flat boobies!
