flying too close to the sun.

Remember how I was all braggy about outwitting a 21 month old? That was awesome. This morning, not so awesome. At 6:15 in the morning. 6:15 AM folks, on a Sunday. My 7:00 on-the-dot girl woke up at 6:15 ready to start her day. I thought I might be able to use some motherly trickery to get her to go back to sleep, but she would have none of it. I changed her diaper, gave her a sippy cup and laid her back in the crib. She calmly looked up at me said, "No."

With that settled, we started the usual routine: O's, books and If you're happy and you know it clap your hands, 45 minutes early. Any guesses at who wasn't clapping her hands this morning?

I cut her off after a 2 hour nap this afternoon and I'm hoping for the best.

Yeah, just when we think, "Aha, I've got you"...then they turn on us as if to say, "Not so fast, you."

"Their giant?" Do you mean Claire has a giant heart, enough for you and Nate or do you mean "their" as in another one is on the way?

Enquiring minds want to know!

6:15? That's insane. That's the middle of the night!!

Good luck with the napping today. Don't fear though. Many times these phases last for a couple of weeks and then they are over. I hope you get her back on track soon.

And if you do, I want you to come over and have a chat with Mason.

Since misery loves company, be secure in the knowledge that others would be more than happy to trade you sleeping schedules. :) 6:15 is a celebration around here...
