i see a big kid looking at me.
Claire devours books. She recently started "reading" a couple of them "by myself" and delights in reading to her baby brother. We're in need of some new reading material around here that doesn't make me want to gauge my eyes out (I'm talking to you, Miss Spider books).
Since you were able to offer much needed fashion advice to my shulmpy self, I'd love suggestions on books for three-year olds. Comment it up, friends.

epossumondas books by coleen salley (check amazon) and stella has loved anything by berkeley breathed since she was 2 1/2- especially 'mars needs moms' and 'red ranger came calling.' good luck. i've been finding books that tom's hidden for as long as we've had kids.
BOOKS! Well, I can tell you about books.
Some of our favorites, that are good for 3 y/o "reading"
--Mo Willems' books (even beyond the pigeon books, the Elephant and Piggie books are good too, and they are in the early reader's section at the library, which is the wall on the left before you get into the children's section)
--Karma Wilson's "Bear" books
--Frank Asch has some great books like "Barnyard Lullaby" and "Moon Bear"
--"The Little Engine that Could" retold by Watty Piper, pictures by Loren Long
--"Good Boy Fergus" by David Shannon
And right now the girls are all aflutter about "The Little Babaji" (which you have to read with voices) by Helen Bannerman. The pictures help kids know how to retell the story.
Oh, and "The Baby Bee Bee Bird" is a constant favorite too.
Okay. I better finish now, because I could go on forever.
My favorite is
The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry and the Big Hungry Bear.

My niece loves these books called "Fancy Nancy" and they are pretty cute. And I really like this book called "The Girl who hated books". Those are just a couple I could think of for now, but I will let you more later if I can think of any :) Good Luck!

I like 'Belly Button Book' by Sandra Boyton. I also like her 'Snuggle Puppy' book. (I sing parts of that one to the tune of On Top of Old Smokey. If you read it, that will make sense). I like her books because they are sturdy and a nice size for smaller hands. Also, I like that the font changes size to help with the story. They're just sweet and a silly books.
Yay! I'm glad Claire likes reading! I like reading too. My suggestions for three year olds...
Good For memory Reading:
"We're Going on a Bear Hunt" Author Varies
"I Like My Hair" By Todd Parr and his "Otto" Books are good too.
Any and All Dr. Suess/P.D Eastman Books 3years olds...probably "Go Dog Go" "Ten Apples Up On Top" "The Best Nest" "Are You My Mother?" "One Fish Two Fish" etc.
To Read With Them
"I Love You Wit All My Heart" By Noris Ken
"Hooray For You!" by Marianne Richmond
"Where the Wild Things Are" By Maurice Sendak
"Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day" Couldn't tell ya the author b/c our book got ripped up...
